Moon in Aries

When the Moon passes through Aries, which is ruled by Mars, people are highly enthusiastic. It is a period of ambition and energetic activity. It is a good time for beginning projects and for instigating change. Be aware that the desire for change will more likely be based upon impulse rather than reason. Watch out for temperamental flare-ups and selfishness ("I am" is the key phrase of Aries). With all this forceful energy, it is important to be mindful of the rights of others. Aries, which rules the head, is known for its headstrong behavior and while the Moon is in Aries people are more susceptible to head injuries.

Moon in Taurus

When the Moon moves into Taurus, the aggressive, charging Aries ram mellows into the solid, placid bull. Remember the term "bull-headed," as people will not tend to be very cautious and unchanging. Be aware of these tendencies toward stubbornness. There is a feeling that it is necessary to protect the status quo or what one already has (key phrase is "I have"). The need for financial and material security is strong. When the Moon is in Taurus take time to continue or conclude projects already started. Taurus is ruled by Venus, so this would be a good time to enjoy and appreciate the earthly beauty which surrounds us. Taurus rules the throat.

Moon in Gemini

While the Moon is in the dualistic sign Gemini, people many never make up their minds. With the Gemini ease of seeing both sides of everything we feel more adaptable, changeable and talkative. Gemini is ruled by Mercury which makes this a time for communication. it is a good time to write, take care of tasks which resemble mathematical puzzles, make speeches, or just let ideas fly through the clouds. Intellectual pursuits and mind games may become more prominent than practical concerns. People begin to feel restless and there is an inclination to rationalize emotions. A spontaneous tongue may hastily express things which are only true for the moment. Gemini rules the lungs, arms, hands and nervous system.

Moon in Cancer

Since the Moon is ruled by Cancer, lunar influences are strongest and most easily expressed when focused through this sign. The Moon greatly influences the personality, the subconscious, the emotions, and molds instinctual behavior. When the Moon is in Cancer, it is a time of intense emotions rather than reason. During this very vulnerable period be cautious not to emotionally would others or allow yourself to be wounded. Generally, people will b e passive, easy-going, sentimental, loving and nurturing. Unfortunately, this motherly expression of caring is often expressed with food and it is easy to overeat. Cancer rules the breasts and stomach. Cancer is a nurturing sign and the most fertile sign of the zodiac. With the Moon in Cancer, it is a good time for creating life and for growth.

Moon in Leo

While feeling the influence of the Moon in Leo, people need romance, affection and recognition. The desire can be so strong to be admired and appreciated that it may result in especially dramatic behavior. Leo is ruled by the Sun making this a time of ambition, independence and leadership. People may refuse to recognize limitations. The Moon in Leo is a time of enjoyment and warmth and a time to show kindness and generosity to others. Leo rules the heart and upper spine.

Moon in Virgo

Virgo is ruled by Mercury as is Gemini. While the Moon is in Virgo, it is also a good time for intellectual pursuits, but now it is better for those requiring critical detail rather than innovative creativity. This is a good time for taking care of any matter which requires painstaking attention. People may become shy and retiring with the Moon passing through Virgo and will tend to be discriminating, fastidious and even overly critical at times. These influences lead to a concern about food and health, for Virgo rules the intestines and the powers of assimilation. Many people feel the urge to clean up their homes at this time which is a good way to channel Virgo energy.

Moon in Libra

While the Moon is in Libra people have a strong sensitivity to and attraction for others. This comes from the Libran search for harmony and balance, for the Libra nature accentuates teamwork. It is a good time to form partnerships of all natures -- friendships, marriage, business. Libra is ruled by the planet Venus which manifests as a friendly and tolerant nature and a desire to beautify. It is an excellent time for artistic work as the beauty of Venus is combined with the intellectual ease of an air sign. Altogether it is a lovely time for a social gathering, when the consciousness of self, as expressed in the first six signs of the zodiac, becomes united with t he awareness of the needs and desires of others. The Libra keynote is "I balance," as in yin/yang, day/night, summer/winter, me/you. Libra rules the kidneys and the lower back. be careful not to imbibe too many impurities during this time when the kidneys are so vulnerable.

Moon in Scorpio

Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Pluto. Mars' influence brings out strong passions and Pluto shows very strong desires. People often become aggressive, critical, impatient and moody while the moon is in Scorpio. There is a marked increase of intensity and a heightened sensitivity t personal offenses and insults. Remember that Scorpio has a suspicious and s secretive nattier. Avoid social complications. Beware of jealousy and watch out for the Scorpion sting. Please remember o forgive and forget. Be cautious interacting with the opposite sex. However, this could be a good time for an intense merging with another on a deep emotional level! Scorpio rules the generative system and the organs of reproduction s well as the lower spine (sacrum) in which the Kundalini energy is coiled. The Moon in Scorpio is a very bad time for surgical operations of any kind.

Moon in Sagittarius

The Moon passing though Sagittarius might bring an idealistic feeling, or a sense of discontinuity, restlessness, desire for sports and adventures, a love of change and motion, and the itch to travel. With Sagittarius being ruled by expansive Jupiter people will b e warm and friendly and likely feel spontaneous, intuitive (even prophetic at times), and easily animated with a tendency toward superficial enthusiasm. However, they may also have a strong need for independence and feel unable to endure restrictions. The Moon in Sagittarius brings a philosophical influence and stimulates our higher aspirations for self-improvement. It is a good time for intellectual affairs, for dealing with institutions of learning, or for promoting our ideas through publishing, lecturing, etc. Sagittarius rules the thighs and the hips.

Moon in Capricorn

While the Moon is in Capricorn the vibrations of Saturn are emphasized. This brings forth the principle of contraction following Jupiter's expansive influence in Sagittarius. Spiritual and intellectual interests fall away. It is a time of material ambition and an awareness of work and duty. In the search for status and financial security, people might become insensitive, even unsympathetically cruel, but form selfish necessity rather than animosity. The Saturn influence of Capricorn causes pessimism or negativity to creep in. Generally, while the Moon is in Capricorn energy is sluggish. It is a time for diligently applying yourself to tasks while living solely in the present. Capricorn rules the knees, teeth, bones and skin.

Moon in Aquarius

Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. While the Moon is traveling through Aquarius, public affairs become for important as there is an interest in the welfare of others in a social sense. People will end to be very friendly but in an impersonal manner. Uranus brings the desire for freedom and a love for the innovative and unconventional. People are now operating from intellectual rather than emotional motivations and will be searching for freedom in expressing their thoughts and their personal uniqueness. They will also be demanding the freedom to come and go without restrictions. Aquarius rules the ankles, the circulation, the electrical forces in the body and the nervous system.

Moon in Pisces

Pisces is ruled by Neptune which rings an inclination toward psychic impressions. Imagination is strong when the Moon is in Pisces. There is a heightened sensitivity to music and other intangible forces. Tendencies are to be emotional, spiritual, and self-sacrificing. The Moon in Pisces adds a developing impressionability which can create feelings of vulnerability, drifting into withdrawal as an emotional protection. people may feel passive, sentimental, gently, kind, and cheerful, but too easily discouraged. Some might experience stirrings of vague memories (often identified as past lives) or insights into the spiritual meaning of current situations during the time. Pisces rules the feet.
